Allan Roth is our April Bogleheads on Investing podcast guest. The theme of our discussion is investment advice and investment advisers. We talk about where people get advice, the quality of advice, conflicts of interest, the state of the adviser market, and ideas on how to avoid getting bad advice.

Allan is a licensed CPA, a Certified Financial Planner (CFP), author, writer, adjunct professor, and Founder of Wealth Logic, an hourly based investment advisory and financial planning firm.

Allan’s book, How a Second Grader Beats Wall Street is a best-seller. He has also written for The Wall Street Journal, AARP, Money, Financial Planning Magazine and numerous other publications. This episode hones in on the investment advice and including the pros and cons of hiring an adviser, various ways to pay an adviser, and do-it-yourself investing.
