The Bogleheads® 9 conference was the start of an extended period of Philadelphia conferences. The conferences are sponsored by the John C. Bogle Center for Financial Literacy.
We have three video recordings of the proceedings. Our first video is John Bogle’s keynote address “Bogle Welcomes the Bogleheads”. The second video is a John Bogle Q&A session, followed by a fireside chat between Mr. Bogle and William Bernstein.

Conference dates: October 13 -15, 2010
The 2010 Convention began on Wednesday October 13 with an afternoon wine and cheese reception with John Bogle. After breakfast on Thursday morning, John Bogle presented a keynote address, followed by an extended Q&A session. Bogle and Dr. Bill Bernstein then had a “fireside chat”. After lunch, there was a book signing session. The evening was filled with a visit to Vanguard, where conference attendees had a Q&A session with Vanguard senior staff.
Friday concluded with a Q&A session with the Panel of Experts: authors Bill Bernstein, Rick Ferri, Bill Schultheis, Taylor Larimore, Mel Lindauer and Laura Dogu, along with Professor Ed Tower of Duke University’s Economics Department.
At this conference, John C. (Jack) Bogle authorized the set up of a non-profit organization to expand and carry on his work. The culmination of this effort was the establishment of John C. Bogle Center for Financial Literacy.
